Alessandra Romani interprets objects appearing in paintings from famous artists, turning them into beautiful ceramic sculptures. Everyday objects come to life out of the canvas. Vases, cups, jugs , bowls, bottles, and other ceramic sculptures are ingeniously carved and glazed, calling out to the original work of art.

“Jarra Viva”
Sculpture: Ceramic on Ceramic. This piece was created by Alessandra Romani for the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum, inspired by the painting “Natureza viva dos objectos – 1913” from Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso. In this interpretation of the masterpiece, Alessandra carries one of the painting's central elements, to the world of objects, giving it a different life. Produced in stoneware, by artisanal methods, this piece was glazed by hand, ensuring a unique finish to every single one of the 25 copies in the series. Certificate of authenticity included.
